Research Services Librarian | Boston Public Library
Provides ready and in-depth reference and research work for the public on a variety of subjects. Assists patrons in using the library’s resources through personal consultation, instruction, programs, and online content. Selects, maintains, and evaluates library collections.

Research Associate | Digital Equity Research Center
Developed a theory of change for the digital equity non-profit Tech Goes Home. Conducted qualitative participatory action research that has informed other stakeholders in the digital equity field. Oversees focus groups, interviews, and workshops.

Intern and Volunteer | Suffolk County Correctional Facility Library
Assisted in day-to-day library work in a prison library with a focus on reference work. Spearheaded a book drive that resulted in donations of 500+ books relevant to the needs of the library. Worked on collection development purchases of books, CDs, and DVDs. Learned best practices for serving incarcerated patrons.

Performed data analysis, participatory action research, and coding. broadband measurement in public/rural libraries. Co-wrote successful IMLS grant application. Researched broadband measurement in public libraries, tribal libraries, and digital equity.

Outreach Intern | Teen Central @ the Boston Public Library
Assisted with day-to-day duties in teen space. Gave book talks to incarcerated teens from the greater Boston area. Created a re-entry guide for court-involved youth and a 500-title collection development plan for visits to local juvenile detention centers, including sequential titles, hi-lo books, and books in Spanish. Trained as a non-mandated reporter.

Served as the Boston fellow for a 6-city participatory action research fellowship centered on creating digital equity coalitions amongst young activists nationwide.

Designed a DEI framework for Simmons University moving forward, including diverse recruitment, student support, mentorship, accessibility, etc. Co-designed a curriculum diversity audit.
Summer 2017-May 2019
Librarian | Sarah Doyle Center for Women and Gender
Served as cataloging, reference, programming, and research librarian at the feminist library and community center. Overhauled 4,000+ item library collection through comprehensive weeding and purchasing process. Implemented a new library catalog and checkout system. Planned events such as a Black Feminist Open House, Trans History Celebration, and Feminist Wikipedia Hack-A-Thon. Created extensive annotated bibliography of archives and oral histories related to gender, and aided patrons with research and reference inquiries.
Founder | Malana Krongelb Zine Collection
Founded, curated, and archived a nationally recognized social-justice-themed zine collection. Facilitated zine workshops for children, teens, and adults. Served as a consultant for Rhode Island School of Design's zine collection development, as a guest lecturer on decolonizing/Indigenizing and queering archives for several Brown University courses, and lectured at NYU on zine librarianship.

Student Archivist | Pembroke Center for Research and Teaching on Women
Advocated for the inclusion of more women of color and trans/non-binary people in the archives while assisting with day-to-day archival duties. Curated and procured local sex worker rights activists' papers, and testified to the Rhode Island legislature about sex work in the archives.

Researched African-American undergraduate students' use of academic libraries at both HBCUs and PWIs. Created a survey according to academic research best practices. Conducted analysis of participant interviews and academic institutions. Findings will be used to formulate best practices for academic librarians serving Black students.
